Unlimited potential.

Lyn Beazley Academy offers a specialised, strength-based learning environment designed to support autistic young people as they navigate education, employment, personal growth, and career readiness.

LBA Centre of Excellence, research hub, will lead globally in designing, implementing and refining educational and support programs tailored for young people with autism, to enhance learning outcomes for all autistic young adults.

High School Enrichment Program.

We are starting with a specialised, evidence-based enrichment program designed for young people aged 15-17 years. Our program is research-supported, trauma-informed, and built around strength-based, immersive learning. Our goal is to fosters confidence, autonomy, and real-world engagement to develop confidence in inteactive, collaborative learning environments.

  • Class structure

Capped at 16 participants, with a 1 – 4 ratio, our groups are designed to foster a sense of belonging from day one. Each group — called a PoD (People of Diversity) — will have specialised staff ensuring individualised support and guidance to help participants, develop their identity and self-awareness.

  • Sensory facilities

Classroom designs are tailored to meet the sensory needs of autistic young people, incorporating customisations to create a welcoming and effective learning environment. Designed to contribute to a calm atmosphere with open seating plan to enable participants to choose from individual workstations through to collaborative working groups.

  • Projects

We engage three exciting project models — STEAM, Individual, and Facilitated.

    • Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) project participants will collaborate and share their passions to develop critical thinking skills and creative solutions to real world issues — all while adding value to their community through Art.
    • Individual projects creates a space for participants to receive tutoring, at a pace they're comfortable with. We allow space to investigate their chosen focus area within their homeschooling curriculum.
    • Facilitated projects are dynamic learning opportunities run by an expert in the field. This expert walks alongside participants as they develop new hard skills, or hone skills in an area they’re already interested in — for example, Spacecraft or CoderDojo
  • Building soft skills

Our program is designed to build confidence in interpersonal skills, and communication abilities, ensuring that participants are well-prepared for academic, social, and professional success. Through immersive learning experiences participants will build practical life skills such as organisation, self-advocacy, and independence.

Social and emotional life learning is a key focus, helping participants understand themselves and others while building confidence in their interactions. Most importantly, our program fosters a supportive and inclusive environment, where every particpants feels valued, heard, and empowered to reach their full potential.

  • Real-world experience

We facilitate dynamic connections for learners with industry experts, providing hands on real-world expereinces that bridge education and career success.

Through mentorship, workshops and projects, participants gain practical skills while building a professional portfolio to showcase their talents and achievements.

  • Agency, advocacy & authenticity

Our participants are given agency and autonomy in their learning journey and are encouraged to reach their potential. They are advocated for, supported, and heard every step of the way. Authenticity is at the heart of how our staff build trust and strong relationships, creating an environment where young people can connect with the world.

Career Pathways.

This program serves as a stepping stone into university and employment, providing mentorship and practical support to help young adults thrive in higher education and the workforce. We equip students with the tools, experiences, and guidance they need to succeed — both now and in the future.

  • Tertiary/vocational education pathways

We support young people with access to university programs and vocational studies, and provide guidance throughout their higher education studies. This includes weekly sessions with a Social Emotional Transition (SET) Coach, who provides social support, time management support, and support the development of independent life skills.

So far, through the connection made by Professor Tele Tan, 105 students have secured employment.

  • Support in the workplace

Participants are further supported as they move from higher education into a career. We partner strategically with businesses across Perth and have a portfolio of exciting workplaces, giving students a head start in the employment process. Additionally, students are linked with the Ambassador for Inclusion, ensuring they feel supported, valued, and empowered in the workplace.

Meetings with a SET Coach will continue until participants are settled into employment. Our ultimate goal is to gradually step back, ensuring they emerge as independent, confident, and capable individuals fully prepared to thrive in the workplace — and who no longer need us!
